Generation Word Bible Study Protocol
Welcome to Bible class.
Thank you for taking time to study and look into the Word of God.
Everyone is invited at anytime to come
to any Generation Word Bible study.
Spiritual growth and maturity occur when we hear and
understand the truths in scripture.
Spiritual growth will benefit you and those around you including your family,
friends, coworkers,
church, community, and nation. It is
not only a privilege to receive Bible teaching; it is also our
responsibility as believers in Jesus Christ to do so.
We are saved by faith in Christ, but we mature through teaching.
That is our purpose here in Bible study.
In Bible study we will teach biblical concepts and teach
scripture verse by verse.
Galyn Wiemers is the teacher. You are the student.
The teacher is not infallible, only the written word of God is perfect and
without error.
However, it is the teacher’s responsibility to study, prepare and
communicate.
It is the student’s responsibility to focus on the teachers’
instruction and not distract others from
receiving this instruction. Each student has their own volition and should
judge the teaching with the
standard of scripture.
If for some reason you disagree with the teacher’s doctrine,
interpretation, application, attitude,
dress, etc. do not interrupt class to share your opinion. Bible study is not a time to debate the
teacher
or for the student to promote their views.
If they have something to teach they should organize,
prepare and communicate their teaching in another forum.
Students are always encouraged to ask questions concerning a
clarification of a point or to share
information that is important and relevant.
Students are asked not to camouflage their viewpoint
in the form of a question or make a statement that only appears to be a
question.
By definition and design this Bible study is not a prayer
meeting, a church service, a song service
or a discussion group. It is completely
in line with the Word of God, the ministry of the Spirit of God
and the practice of the church through out history to assemble for the purpose
of explaining the scriptures.
The teacher will feel no guilt and receive no condemnation for teaching his
convictions or exposing the
errors in other viewpoints.
The implementation of the gift of teaching is not a matter of pride but an act
of love and responsibility.
Not only does the teacher not care, he cannot care, if you
approve or not.
As always, thank you for coming to Bible class. It is an honor to study the Word of God with
you,
Galyn Wiemers
