      withdraws its troops from the security zone in southern Lebanon.
 
    - 2000 - Hezbollah then began to demand 
      an area at the junction of the borders of Syria, Lebanon and Israel.  Hezbollah renewed attacks on Israel.
 
    - March 2002 – Hezbollah scales security 
      fence on border to attack and kill Israeli motorists.
 
    - 2002 – Hezbollah is assisted by al Qaeda 
      and Bin Laden when al Qaeda began to show up in Lebanon after their loss of control of Afghanistan.
